Clair R. Vernon, DMD
Dr. Clair Vernon was born and educated in Logan, Utah. He served an LDS, Spanish speaking mission in California from 1972-74. He married Jo Ann Ellgen in 1974. He graduated from Utah State University in 1977 then went to Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1980. Clair was fortunate to participate in a one year general dental practice Army residency at Irwin Army Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas. The Army then sent him to Dugway, Utah where he practiced for four years. In 1985 he began practicing in Tooele, and has been serving the people of the Tooele area since that time. Jo Ann and Clair are the parents of five daughters and one son.

Pamela Wanlass - Receptionist
Pam has spent most of her life in Tooele County. She says Grantsville is the greatest place to live. She believes in love at first sight because she fell in love with her husband Ed the first time she saw him. Together they have three children: Racheal, Travis and Kaed. She thinks the best part of family is grandchildren. She has seven of them. She knows her job is to watch and cheer them on.

Pam enjoys spending her time camping at her family's property. She enjoys designing jewelry and has made it a side business that keeps her pretty busy. She also enjoys scrapbooking, photography, card making, embroidery, crocheting, traveling, and chocolate.

Pam has worked in the dental field for 33 years and has seen a lot of changes in dentistry. She loves the people she works with and has the greatest boss.

Shawna Taylor - Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Shawna was born and raised in Riverton, Utah. She has lived in Tooele for 30 years. She is married and has three sons and one daughter. She has worked as a dental assistant/receptionist for eight years. She enjoys her job, co-workers, and patients. Her pastimes are sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, camping, hiking, horseback riding, four wheelin’, and other family activities.

Tanya Butcher - Hygienist
Tanya grew up in American Fork, graduating with honors from American Fork High School. Spoke at seminary graduation. She graduated from Salt Lake College LDS Institute and served as Forum Director at Utah Valley Community College. Tanya received her dental hygiene degree from Weber State University. She is married with three children. Tanya serves as Bear Cub Scout Den Leader, enjoys the outdoors, sports, gardening, crocheting, crafts, and spending time with family.

Monica Parks - Hygienist
Monica was born in Provo, Utah. While most of her childhood was spent here in Tooele, she did spend some time in Iran and South Korea. She graduated from Kalaheo High School in Hawaii and then came back to Utah to attend Weber State University. She graduated with her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1991, then received her B.S. degree shortly after. Monica has a wonderful husband and four fantastic children. She loves hiking, reading, running, and spending time with her family. She thinks dental hygiene is the “Best Job in the World” and enjoys it very much. Monica has been working for Dr. Vernon since 1998 and thinks he is a wonderful, caring dentist.

Abagael Downard - Dental Assistant
Aby has grown up in Tooele, Utah with three of her siblings. She love riding quads with her family in the beautiful Utah mountains. Her goal is to be a certified dental hygienist, which is why she loves working as a dental assistant at such a young age!

Brynlee Vorwaller - Dental Assistant
Brynlee is a Senior at Tooele High School. Sh is the middle child of two brothers. She was born in Salt Lake City and has grown up in Tooele. She loves working in the dental field just like her mom! Bryn loves the outdoors. She enjoys skiing, fishing, dirt biking, rappelling, and spending time with her family. Brynlee is interested in the health and medical fields and plans to graduate with her MA and CNA certificates this coming spring.

Carmen Frida Vargas Morales - Dental Assistant
Carmen graduated from Cochabamba Bolivia University UMSS Ciriyano Dentista in 1995. She has a daughter and two grandchildren that still live in Bolivia. She loves and misses them very much. She has been in the United States for two years. She loves working as a dental assistant in this office with this team.

Erin was born in Tacoma, Washington and grew up in St. George. She came to Tooele six years ago and wants to stay here forever. She is married and has three wonderful kids. She is happily serving in the Primary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loves the outdoors, reading, yoga, baking and spending time with her family.
